This is the craziest music video I have ever seen. I love her singing, although I think it's strange that it's almost all in Spanish. But what's really strange is that road trip. Why are we driving down that road, then turning around and coming back? I couldn't figure it from the beginning. I was hoping we were eventually going to arrive at the actual concert where we could see her singing and the band playing. But no. Just turn around and go back to the same parking lot where we started from. Crazy!
I'm very familiar with Bossa Nova. In fact, I'm addicted to it. A few of these songs are in Portuguese. At least one is in English, but most are in Spanish. I don't have the time to go through the whole video right now (having done that months ago before posting my comment), but in spending a few minutes, I've found that songs beginning at the following times are all in Spanish: 14:20, 15:55, 23:48, 30:49 Have a listen. It's of course possible to sing in a Bossa Nova style in English, Spanish, or any other language, but a lot of this video is in no way Bossa Nova. Listen to the track starting at 30:49. That's pure Caribbean, Cuban probably. I've listened to Lisa Ono a lot over the years. Most of her stuff is pure Brazilian Bossa Nova, and in Portuguese. Not this video.
